Trench Coat For Springtime

I recently got this trench coat and I’m obsessed with it! It’s the perfect weight for spring and a great length. Dressy enough to wear to work and yet casual enough to wear on the weekend with jeans. Looking to get a lot of wear out of this coat this spring and fall.

I want to know, what are your go to jackets for the spring? Do you love a trench coat…are denim jackets more your speed…or are you all about an edgy leather jacket? Please tell me your picks in the comment section below.

If you look NOW the trench coat I’m wearing here is already marked 40% off and you will get another 20% off at checkout.

A Little Leopard Makes Everything Better

To me there is something about a leopard coat that just makes any outfit look complete.

coat- Cupcakes & Cashmere, turtleneck- H&M, skirt- LOFT, tights- LOFT, shoes- Sam Edelman

No matter if I’m going to work, have a date night out with my husband, or am just running around the neighborhood in jeans…this faux fur leopard coat makes everything look chic.

Not to be overshadowed by my coat, these Sam Edelman Lug Sole Loafers are one of my favorite pairs of shoes that I own. Super comfortable and now wayyyyy on sale they are definitely worth the purchase! I feel like they go with just about everything. Also, they remind me of the shoes Elaine used to wear on Seinfeld which just makes me so happy.

A Summer Look & A Fluffy Pup

Hello readers! It’s been a hot second since my last “outfit post”…and this ball of fluff is the reason why. If you’ve been following me on IG you know that back in April we welcomed this little cavapoo who we named Freddie into our home, our lives, and our heart. It’s been a whirlwind…full of puppy insanity. I’ve hardly been wearing anything cute due to worrying that he’ll rip and ruin anything I have on, and don’t get me on the limited time I have had for hair and makeup. However, I thought this simple and colorful summer look was too cute not to share. Also…how cute is Freddie here???

Top: LOFT, Jeans: Madewell, Sandals: Birkenstock, Purse: Rebecca Minkoff (similar as pink is no longer available)

I love a peplum top…and this one has the happiest print I’ve ever seen. I think it looks adorable paired with a good pair of jeans. One of my favorite styles of denim is the Stovepipe jeans at Madewell. They fit so well and the denim is so soft. They are available in regular sizes as well as plus, petite, curvy, and tall…so there is a fit for everybody! They also come in a variety of washes. Adding a few pops of colors (my purse and sandals) just pulls this all together, don’t you think?

Freddie loves going to the park and saying hi to literally every single dog he sees. He’s super happy and super crazy. Be sure to follow his wild antics on his IG: FreddieFluffyPants

I want to hear from you. How is your summer going???

Pops of Color

It’s no secret that the majority of my wardrobe is black…and I love it that way. Call it being lazy…call it being practical…call it being a New Yorker. But adding pops of color in your outwear and accessories makes everything so much more fun. Don’t you agree?

Adding some color really adds something special to any look. I have long black coats, black purses, and the same Sam Edelman Chelsea boots in black…but I felt like standing out today, just a little bit.

What I adore about this bag is the practicality of it. Crossbody bags are always high on the list of my favorite things…but this one has a removeable crossbody strap so you have different options on how you wear it.

Running to grab some coffee in the early morning was never so effortless yet so pulled together. I’m obsessed with teddy bear coats in general…but this pink one just screams my name. It’s super warm, comfy, and bold (but in a good way). It’s different than all the other teddy bear coats I’ve seen out there. Why blend in when you can stand out? Am I right or what???

I want to know, how do YOU wear color in your looks?

On Thanksgiving We Wear Velvet

I’ve been wearing tee shirts and leggings a little too much lately that I thought that today (Thanksgiving) would be the perfect day to dress up a little.

dress- Zara (old)

dress- Zara (old)

I wanted to dress up but still feel cozy. This velvet dress I picked up at Zara years ago is so perfect. It almost looks like a robe (maybe it is one?!) and I adore this shade of plum. The bell sleeves, geometric pattern, and tie detail give me all the ‘70s vibes I can handle.

I’m all for dressing up today but not for doing my hair. Can ya tell? HAHA! It was raining all morning long…so I had to pick my battles.

I wanted to wish everyone a very happy Thanksgiving. My husband and I are staying home this year and having a Thanksgiving feast alone. We still have been avoiding people (you know, pandemic and all). We’ve decided to make ham instead of turkey and have a zillion sides. Just looking forward to a relaxing and yummy day. Also…if you haven’t seen I posted my homemade cranberry sauce recipe on my IG. So stop by and check it out.
