The Five Fashionistas

Animal print is a huge trend for fall. I find it so crazy that so many people I know are afraid to wear this trend. The key to wearing animal print is wearing it in small doses. If you wear it head to toe you're going to look like that animal...and that's not the look we're going for!  :-P

Today the Five Fashionistas are showing you how to embrace this trend, and wear it right.

Jen- If I could be any animal in the jungle, I would see myself being a monkey since I love moving around and I can get pretty obnoxious.

Diane- I'd be a zebra---kind of nervous, yet rather social.

Issa- I'd want to be... a gazelle... graceful and exotic!
Mel- I'd be an animal from the south, that way I know I'd be in nice weather all the time.

Tramanh- I'd be a monkey - quick witted, playful, and humorous.

The Five Fashionistas

This week we're talking about everyone's favorite fall accessory...SCARVES! No matter how you wear them, they always add a little something to any outfit. Check out how the five of us rock this key piece while staying true to our individual styles.

Mel- Whenever I find myself wearing solid pieces head to toe, I throw in a scarf to mix it up.

Issa- I'd wear this outfit to work, brunch, or a night out at Houston Fashion Week (which I did)!

Tramanh- Mixing textures and patterns with a scarf makes a cool club-worthy accessory.

Diane- I love wearing a scarf to add a pop of color, or to take place of a necklace.

Jen- This outfit is definitely something I'd wear if I was going to meet up with a couple of friends for a cup of coffee on a brisk, autumn day.

The Five Fashionistas

I'm really excited about this new project I put together. Snapshot Fashion has joined forces with four other fashionable bloggers. We will be working together on a new regular post called, The Five Fashionistas.

Just who are the five fashionistas? Issa from We Wear Things, Mel from Idée Géniale, Jen from Jennifhsieh, Tramanh from Phi Style, and myself (Diane) makes five. Every post will have a similar concept, but you'll get to see how we all interpret it differently.

For the first post I thought it would be great to show how we are bringing our favorite summer items/trends into the fall.

Issa- I'm bringing florals into fall, because for spring/summer I was absolutely obsessed with florals, and they'll work just as nice with blazers and boots.

Mel- Sandals offer more versatility for outfits, especially when going out and you don't want to wear clunky boots. I'm going to pair mine with knee socks, and tights in order to be able to wear them through Fall/Winter.

Jen- The color palette of this floral print is perfect for the Fall.

Tramanh- Pairing a tailored pair of shorts with a long sleeved top is an easy way to transition shorts into fall.

Diane- My romper obsession is continuing through the cooler months thanks to layering them with tights and cardigans.

Be sure to keep on checking back for more from The Five Fashionistas. We'll be bringing more trends and ideas your way very shortly!
