Designer Spotlight: 10th Tribe

I feel that everyone needs basics in their wardrobe: a simple dress, a tee, or a tank. These pieces can always be dressed up or down and I feel as though I always get my most out of these items.

When I came across 10th Tribe they won over my heart with their fun and edgy designs and soft fabrics. A little bohemian, a little rock and roll. They really do have something for everyone.

I love that this NYC based company manufactures their products in Brooklyn. If you don't live in NYC and you want to purchase some of their products no worries. They also sell their items online and in Australia.

Designer Spotlight: Alexi Freeman

I recently was in touch with Australian based designer Alexi Freeman. Alexi's AW11 collection, entitled Stardust, is a dream brought to life. Full of sequins, funky striped designs, fitted pieces all in shades of black, white, and blue...this collection is eyecatchingly trendy, yet classicly chic.

Snapshot Fashion: Describe your collection in three words.
Alexi Freeman: Casual, sexy, and alluring.

SF: What inspires your designs?
AF: My collections are continually inspired and informed by the graphic beauty of the natural world. I've also got a bit of an ongoing fascination with the 1920's and the Art Deco period.

SF: What is your favorite item out of your latest collection?
AF: The Stardust trench.
