New Orleans: Part Two

dress (similar): H&M/tights: H&M/ booties: Chelsea Crew Black Label/purse: H&M

Truth be told, I'm kind of obsessed with this dress. Yes, I know I look more like Wednesday Addams than a Southern Belle...but I'm from NYC, so deal with it.  :-)

Here is a final roundup of some my favorite shots while on our New Orleans trip. Enjoy!

My husband was horsing around...and so were the horses...

One thing that really won over my heart in New Orleans was the bright and bold colors. Blue shutters, purple doors, hot pink front stoops...and even this gate door that was covered in bottle caps! So charming and quirky...I love it.

And I'm not one for nature (at all), but these trees were amazingly beautiful!

All in all we had a nice trip...saw a lot. If you followed along on my Instagram you got to see even more shots from our adventure. It was so good to get out of NYC for a little...but we're glad to be back.

Now...where to next???

New Orleans Babydoll

So this past weekend Chris and I went on a little mini-getaway to New Orleans. Neither of us had ever been there, so this was a fun little adventure for the both of us.

We spent the extra long weekend walking around the town, snapping photos of the amazing architecture, looking at art, and eating beignets at Cafe Du Monde ( yes, they really were all they were cracked up to be). They were definitely not on the endo diet I have been on...but I couldn't resist!

I'm sure if you look closely in these photos you can see my goosebumps. Don't get me wrong, it was a pretty decent weekend (and way warmer and dryer than NYC's weather)...but this day it did not get quite as warm as what they were calling for. As soon as we ate our beignets and drank our cafe au laits we went back to the hotel so I could grab my coat, tights, and booties. I'm such a wimp!

I love this new dress I picked up at one of the best boutiques in my neighborhood called Pema New York. Don't you just love the little snowflake design? It's my new favorite babydoll dress in my closet.

The architecture was so pretty. Around every street corner there was an even prettier house and more ornate iron work on the balconies. So lovely.

Tracks for Change

Snapshot Fashion is all about being in style...and nothing is more in style these days then helping those in need! A friend of mine, Kristen Terrana, has put together an amazing CD that will raise money for New Orleans musicians, entitled "Tracks for Change". This project was inspired by her trip with the AJC to New Orleans last year. There she saw firsthand that there is still much to be done in New Orleans, years after Hurricane Katrina.

This CD that Kristen put together is of up and coming musicians who have each kindly donated a song to the project. All proceeds from "Tracks for Change" sales will be donated to "Sweet Home New Orleans", a nonprofit that assists NOLA musicians in getting back home and restoring the culture in this great city.

You can CLICK HERE to download your copy of "Tracks for Change" today!!!

***UPDATE--- Now it's even easier to download a copy of "Tracks for Change"....just go to iTunes and search for it in the store!

You can download the whole album, or even just one or two songs...it's up to you, but remember- every little bit helps raise money for the New Orleans musicians who were displaced by Hurricane Katrina.
