The Bold And The Beautiful

dress: Calvin Klein thrifted from Crossroads Trading Co./ sandals: H&M/ horse pin: a gift from my friends at Bob Mackie

Yes I wear black (a lot)...but I really am a sucker for a bright and bold print (especially when hot pink is involved in it!). So you knew I couldn't say no to this amazing Calvin Klein dress. I picked it up at Crossroads Trading Co. last weekend. Not only did it fit me perfectly, but I don't think it was ever worn. The pockets were still sewn shut. Can you believe it? And better yet, it was only $27.50!!!

Enjoying the ever so slight breeze...

Tonight we're going to finally go see Trainwreck, and I cannot wait! We've been meaning to go for the last few weeks but our plans kept changing. But tonight is the night. Sitting in air conditioning this evening sounds like the perfect plan to me!

This weekend is going to be another hot one. Stay cool everyone!

Bob Mackie Party at Screaming Mimi's

So I've been meaning to share these photos with all of you for some time now. With the new job and being super swamped on the weekends I just haven't had a second to post them yet. I'm not sure if I told you all that I had the amazing opportunity to be the official photographer at the Bob Mackie party that was being thrown at Screaming Mimi's in NYC.

If you haven't had a chance to enter to win this amazing Bob Mackie gown, be sure to enter.

Yes...that is a rabbit on a leash. Only in New York!

A super huge thank you needs to go out to Sammy Davis, the entire Bob Mackie team, and Screaming Mimi's for including me in such a fun and fabulous event! If you want to see more coverage from the event be sure to check out Diane Dulgerian Photography, Diane Dulgerian Photography's Facebook page, Sammy Davis Vintage, and Bob Mackie's blog.

Win a Vintage Bob Mackie Dress on Sammy Davis Vintage

A couple months ago my favorite vintage blogger and friend, Sammy Davis, gave me a call to see if I'd be interested in working with her and Bob Mackie. My answer: Uh...YES! Sammy and Bob Mackie were teaming up to give away an amazing 1980's dress from the legendary designer. Not only did I get to see the amazing piece up close and take the photos, but I also got to check out their NYC headquarters.

This dress has amazing sequin flowers on the shoulders and the bust is a corset style. Sammy looked like a Greek (or Roman?) goddess in this dress. People were actually stopping us in Bryant Park due to the beauty of the gown. Some even thought she was getting married! Oh the people in New York City...you gotta love them!

Be sure to stop by Sammy Davis Vintage to read more about the rules to enter the contest, watch a video Sammy made about the dress, and learn a little more history about Bob Mackie, the dress, and Bryant Park.

Good luck to everyone that enters!!!
